The London artist - widely regarded as one of the UK’s most important cultural voices - will headline London’s legendary, 5000 capacity O2 Academy Brixton on 7th April 2022 and Manchester’s 2300 capacity Albert Hallon 6thApril. News of the shows, which follows last week’s announcement that Kojey Radical will release his highly anticipated debut album Reason To Smileon 4thMarch via Asylum Records / Atlantic, is yet another example of the scale and ambition that surrounds the album.

Kojey Radical’s debut album Reason To Smile will be released on 4thMarch 2022. The 15 track album features guest appearances from Tiana Major9, Masego, Shaé Universe, Cashh, Kelis, Lex Amor, Knucks, Shakka, Wretch 32, Ego Ella
Mayand Rex Life Rajand his own mother(whose voice weaves throughout the record) alongside awho's-who of global production talent including KZ, Swindle, Jay Prince, iO, The FaNaTiX, Cadenza, 169, Venna, Ric & Thadeus, Blue Lab Beats, Emil Larbi, Mr Cuttsand Ed Thomas.Having already made such an indelible mark on British music it's almost hard to believe that Kojey Radical has never released an album. Over four previous EPs, Kojey Radical has given people greatness but on Reason To Smilehe's striving for perfection. Defined by a sound he describes as "space and bass" and featuring the singles "War Outside (ft Lex Amor)"and "Gangsta", Reason To Smile is without doubt Kojey Radical's most complete work to date and an emphatic statement of the levels at which he operates.

Artist Bio

Kojey Radical is a London based poet, musician and mixed media visual artist. He is also Creative Director of the PUSHCRAYONS collective/network & Art Director of contemporary menswear brand Chelsea Bravo.
Beginning as a contemporary artist Kojey moved through the arts with increasing curiosity and defiant will to never be confined to one art form. From as young as 9-years-old Kojey chose to see every form of creative expression as one art form; allowing each one to become a new language for him to communicate through.
After releasing his debut EP in June 2014 Kojey quickly became a name to look out for, selling out his first headline show twice due to popular demand. Kojey is widely credited for his explosive live shows and subversive story telling ability, often referred to as a visionary and pioneer of the arts. Kojey's approach and unorthodox style has earned him the attention of GQ Magazine, Idol, Mechanical Dummy, Soul Culture, Wonderland, The405, Clash Magazine, The Fader, BBC 1Xtra, OKAYAFRICA and Notion Magazine to name a few.
