Kitty Craft is the musical alias of American artist Pamela Valfer, whose dreamy blend of lo-fi hip-hop beats, ethereal synths and angelic vocals has earned her a cult following across indie scenes. Emerging in the mid-1990s with cassette lo-fi releases and the It’s Stupid EP, she expanded her sound into lush sample-rich terrain with albums such as Beats & Breaks from the Flower Patch (1998) and Catskills (2000). Her music evokes a nostalgic, pastel-coloured world where gentle melodies meet inventive production and intimate lyricism.
After a long hiatus, Kitty Craft returned to the stage and studio, reconnecting with her devoted fan-base and introducing her work to a new generation of listeners. Her more recent releases and reissues reflect the same subtle magic that characterised her earlier work, reaffirming her unique place in indie-pop and experimental music. Her sound is recognised for its ability to create a warm, immersive space — one where memory, melody and gentle imagination intertwine.
