Few bands keep their fans guessing quite like King Gizzard & The Lizard Wizard. Since kicking off with the scuzzy garage rock of 2012 debut 12 Bar Bruise, the Melbourne six-piece have built one of the most prolific and varied catalogues in modern music. They've gone from the heavy metal of PetroDragonic Apocalypse (2023) to the synth-driven electronics of The Silver Cord (2023), then to the sunny orchestral sweep of Phantom Island (2025). Their 28th album, Alien Metal (2026), is full-blown techno.
Their gigs change shape just as much. In marathon sets, the band can move from rave-ready modular synth jams to circle-pit thrash within a few minutes. UK fans have seen them sell out Bristol Beacon and headline London's Wide Awake festival, and in 2025 they made their Royal Albert Hall debut with the Covent Garden Sinfonia. Off stage, their Bootlegger scheme lets fans and independent labels press and release the band's music themselves. That spirit has helped build a devoted worldwide community known as the Gizzverse.
The event is taking place at Bowlers Exhibition Centre, Manchester. See individual listings for full venue details.
Tickets go on sale on Friday 30th October 2026 at 9:00am.
