Kelsey Waldon is a Kentucky-born country singer-songwriter whose music blends raw honesty with timeless Americana. Growing up in the rural community of Monkey’s Eyebrow, she began writing songs as a teenager, inspired by the storytelling traditions of classic country and the realities of small-town life. Her early albums, The Goldmine (2014) and I’ve Got a Way (2016), established her reputation as one of Nashville’s most authentic voices, praised for her soulful delivery and sharply drawn lyrics.
In 2019 Waldon became the first artist in fifteen years to sign to John Prine’s legendary label, Oh Boy Records, releasing White Noise/White Lines later that year. The album explored themes of identity, home and perseverance, earning critical acclaim across Rolling Stone, NPR and Billboard. Her follow-up, No Regular Dog (2022), deepened her reflective style with songs about struggle, hope and self-belief. A commanding live performer and proud advocate for her roots, Waldon continues to carry the spirit of Kentucky storytelling to audiences around the world.
