Londonite Kelechukwu Okereke first met fellow guitarist Russell Lissack at the end of the 90’s and went about forming the band Bloc Party. Drawing on a wide range of influences including post punk, electronica and rock, they proved to be one of the most exciting bands to emerge in the 2000s. Their albums include their 2006 debut Silent Alarm, A Weekend In The City, Intimacy, Four and Hymns.

Kele’s solo career started with the release of his album The Boxer in 2010 which hit No. 20 in the charts. It was follow by second album Trick with Fatherland expected to be released in October of this year.
