Kadebostany is the brainchild of Swiss producer Guillaume de Kadebostany—aptly self-styled as President Kadebostan—who transformed pop into performance art. Emerging in 2008 from the fictitious Republic of Kadebostany, their genre-bending debut The National Fanfare of Kadebostany (2011) set the stage, while Pop Collection (2013) became their breakthrough, spawning iconic singles like “Walking with a Ghost,” “Castle in the Snow” and a defiantly unexpected cover of “Crazy in Love” that surged them into Swiss Music Award nominations. Their later works Monumental (2018) and Play This at My Funerals (2023)—expanded their cinematic flair, marrying bold visuals with widescreen electronic pop.
Live, Kadebostany are nothing short of theatrical magic. Guided by President Kadebostan with a rotating ensemble—including vocalists, horn players, and modular synth specialists—they’ve toured tirelessly, amassing over 700 shows, dazzling fans worldwide with their uniformed aesthetic and immersive stagecraft.
