Josie Long is one of the UK’s most beloved comedians, known for her sharp wit, warm storytelling, and uniquely optimistic take on the world. Bursting onto the scene as the winner of the BBC New Comedy Award at just 17, she has since become a staple of the stand-up circuit, blending political insight with deeply personal and often whimsical observations.
Her critically acclaimed shows have earned her multiple Edinburgh Comedy Award nominations, and she’s a regular voice on BBC Radio 4, hosting Short Cuts and creating a range of thoughtful and hilarious programmes. Beyond stand-up, Josie is an activist, writer, and co-founder of the charity Arts Emergency, which helps young people from underrepresented backgrounds access the arts.
