Johnny Dowd (American Alt Country Musician)

Additional information

Johnny Dowd is Twisted Americana with Soul, Wit and Grit.

“If Willie Nelson turned into Mr. Hyde, he’d be Johnny Dowd. Backwoods Gothic tales of love, death, and a perverse God arrive with a twang and a junkyard clatter, reaching for laughs that grow uneasy.”

Johnny will be joined by his band Mike Stark & Mark Lotterman

Plus Mark Lotterman solo support to open the evening.

“Like some Dramamine-soaked response to Johnny Cash’s AMERICAN RECORDINGS, its stark, bleak tales of back-road behaviour and questionable after-dinner practices immediately stuck themselves to the back of my head like fingernails across the wall of a falling elevator.”
