Lovely, star studded evening!
A wonderful, hour-long gallop through the highlights of JG’s repertoire. Her ensemble is tight and seem to really enjoy playing together. Some gorgeous, almost quirky arrangements that emphasise the range of both saxophones. The stars in my title refer not just to Gillam and her merry band, but her marvellous outfit of black with gold stars, although she is obviously the shiniest of them.
