"Hot Club of Leicester presents Jazz in the Loft — a monthly concert of acoustic swing and hot jazz, with a special guest each month joining the house band for an intimate, up-close evening in a fantastic setting.Hot Club of Leicester is a UK-based Gypsy Jazz ensemble steeped in the infectious swing of 1930s Paris and the rich traditions of Sinti jazz. The band brings together exceptional musicians from renowned acts such as Café Manouche, Django Fever, and The Gadjos.Fronted by guitarists Arthur Tyers and Matt Kerry, alongside Lewis Ward on rhythm guitar and Mike Sole on double bass, the group delivers a driving, high-energy sound inspired by the greats — Django Reinhardt, Lolo Meier, Baro Ferret and Moreno Winterstein. The event is situated in an upstairs room with access by stairs only and the toilets situated downstairs.
