Jade Bird is an English singer-songwriter known for her gripping voice and sharp, emotionally charged songwriting. Blending folk, indie rock, Americana and alt-country influences, she first made waves with her debut EP Something American in 2017 and was shortlisted for the BBC Sound of 2018. Her breakout single “Lottery” hit number one on Billboard’s Adult Alternative Songs chart in the US, and her self-titled debut album (2019) showcased a confident new voice in UK songwriting with standouts like “Uh Huh” and “I Get No Joy”.
Her second album, Different Kinds of Light (2021), saw her exploring richer, cinematic textures while retaining the honesty and heart that won her early acclaim. A powerful live performer, Jade has played Glastonbury, Latitude and Green Man, and toured internationally with artists such as Hozier, Tom Odell and Father John Misty. With a sound that’s both bold and tender, she continues to chart her path as one of the UK’s most compelling voices.
