Kilimanjaro Live presents
Ronnie Wood & His Band featuring Imelda May
O2 Forum Kentish Town, London
Doors at 19:00 | Ends: 23:00
Imelda May is an acclaimed Irish singer-songwriter whose vibrant fusion of rockabilly, blues and vintage rock ’n’ roll has made her one of the most distinctive voices in modern roots music. She released her debut album No Turning Back in 2003, but it was her electrifying performance on Later… with Jools Holland in 2008 that catapulted her into the spotlight. Her second studio album Love Tattoo (2008) became a breakout success, earning her a 2009 Meteor Award for Best Female Artist and introducing audiences to her trademark retro flair, powerhouse vocals and charismatic stage presence. Building on that momentum, her third record Mayhem (2010) earned a nomination for the Choice Music Prize and solidified her status as a leading figure in contemporary rockabilly and beyond.
Imelda May’s fourth studio album Tribal (2014) finds her embracing an even bolder and more rebellious sound, packed with energetic rhythms, swaggering guitar work and her unmistakable vocal fire. Taking the record on the road this November with dates in Leeds and Sheffield, she continues to captivate audiences with her magnetic live performances, vintage-inspired style and fearless artistic spirit. With each album, May has expanded her creative reach while staying true to the raw emotion and retro-charged energy at the heart of her music.
