"Very Unexpected Surprise"

Idles , Clwb Ifor Bach, Cardiff - 5th April 2017

Bought tickets as a birthday present for husband and went along as reluctant company; little did I know what a great experience this would be!! Thoroughly enjoyed the energy and developed a crush on the charismatic Joe :-)
Idles - maybe still not able to listen in the confines of the car, but live.............you rock!!!

Idles are a fiercely single-minded bunch. They do what they do and give it 110%. The lead singer is in complete control of proceedings, both conducting, cosseting and chastising the crowd with a sense of humour thrown in. Building this rapport allowed him to be safely "surfed" lying on his back whilst belting out another memorable number. Each tune was dedicated to a family member or wider friend group. All the faves were in the set. Woe betide anyone who shouts out a request. Best go see Catfish & The Bottlemen! ;)

Nice tight venue in Central Cardiff. Very helpful staff. Multi sex toilets were a first for me!!
Good sound . Very hot . Idles are gonna be big. Great atmosphere amongst the punters. Mosh pit was good humoured . The energy and enthusiasm plus the tight sound of Idles made a great gig.

A really honest band with great musicianship and a huge energy and love for what they are doing which completely transmits to their audience.

Music is incredible!
Favourite band I've seen live in a very long time. You will not be disappointed if you go to see Idles. Highly recommended.

Heavy post punk band Idles offer uncompromising music with muscle. They dedicate themselves to terrifying and entertaining their audiences in equal measure.

Idles are Joe Talbot, Mark Bowen, Lee Kiernan, Adam Devonshire and Jon Beavis.

In the quickest thirty minutes, I am blown away and disappointed to see that they aren’t set up to play a massive world tour that would surely help bring them to the consciences of masses.” - Louder Than War

The live shows are bitter, sweaty and with an atmosphere thicker than blood - but there’s a pop-tinged layer to their noise which claws the dapper lads from the seedy depths of emodom and into a Bauhaus era of acute, striking post-punk.” - The Line Of Best Fit

They play an exciting headline tour which starts in March of 2017 and sees them appear at The Prince Albert in Brighton, The Bullingdon at Oxford and The Bodega Social in Nottingham. They then carry on to O2 Academy2 Liverpool and Clwb Ifor Bach at Cardiff in April.

Idles tickets are available through Gigantic. Book yours before they are all gone!

The Bristol band formed out of their frustration with their local music scene and began creating their own unique post punk sound. Visceral and aggressive, they prided themselves on creating truly challenging music which they began to showcase through their own club night named Batcave. Through constant practice and ferocious gigging the forged their own unique style which developed into creating their first album.

Idles concert tickets are subject to incredible demand and so, with limited stocks available, we really do urge you to book early or risk missing out entirely. Gigantic offers a huge array of essential gig tickets so stick with us for the very best experience.
