Humour is a Glasgow-based avant-garde rock band that blends experimental post-punk with a unique approach to songwriting. Formed during the 2021 lockdowns, the band quickly gained attention with their debut EP Pure Misery, a collection of songs marked by jarring contrasts between desperate lyrics and melancholic instrumentation. The band's sound reflects an intentionally disjointed interplay between their vocals and music, creating an emotionally raw, yet deeply engaging listening experience. Their 2023 follow-up EP, A Small Crowd Gathered To Watch Me, continues this experimental approach, with tracks like "Big Money" inspired by historical figures and events.
The lineup features Andreas Christodoulidis on vocals, with guitarists Ross Patrizio and Jack Lyall, bassist Lewis Doig, and drummer Ruairidh Smith. The band has performed alongside acts like Do Nothing and supported their releases with a series of UK and European tour dates. Known for their candid and often surreal lyrics, Humour’s music explores personal and historical themes with a touch of wit, always pushing the boundaries of conventional rock music.
Ticket prices may vary depending on venue and location. Full pricing details are available on each individual event page.
