Heriot is a British metal band that has rapidly risen to prominence in the underground scene. Initially formed in 2015. In 2019, guitarist and co-vocalist Debbie Gough joined, bringing a new dynamic to their music, blending metalcore, thrash, industrial, and ambient influences.
Their 2022 EP Profound Morality showcased their raw, intense style, drawing praise from metal communities. Their sound is known for its mixture of claustrophobic heaviness and experimental elements, with influences from shoegaze and electronica. The band's powerful live performances have also earned them a reputation as a force to be reckoned with. Heriot's debut album Devoured By The Mouth Of Hell released in 2024 continues to build on their momentum, combining a mix of brutal, crushing riffs with surprising melodic elements.
