Heaven 17, Waterfront, Norwich - 25th November 2017

Another excellent night out in this cosy venue. This is the second time we have seen Heaven 17 at the Waterfront in two years and once again they were faultless. All our favourites were performed along with the three excellent early Human League tracks, "You've lost that loving feeling", "Being Boiled" and "A Crow and a Baby". The overall value was fully realised by the superb support band Blancmange whose new material was a revelation. A great night out and we will be back.

Heaven 17, Hangar34, Liverpool - 11th November 2017

Both Heaven 17 and Blancmange rolled back the years to give us a phenomenal evening. From The Day Before You Came to Temptation it was tremendous.
Quite possibly up there as a gig of the year...!!!

Heaven 17 are an English New Wave synthpop band originating from Sheffield in the early 1980s. Originally a trio, the band comprised Martyn Ware, Ian Craig Marsh and Glenn Gregory. Although most of the band's music was recorded in the 1980s, they have occasionally reformed to record and perform since then, playing their first ever live concerts in 1997. Marsh left the band in 2007 and Ware and Gregory continued to perform as Heaven 17 since then.

They have exciting upcoming shows for 2017. See them join the fantastic line up for Let’s Rock Bristol! which takes place at Ashton Court over Friday 3rd and Saturday 4th of June. They also play a headline show at Concorde 2 in Brighton on Saturday 10th of June. Then, later in the year they return to play Foundry at Sheffield, Hanger34 at Liverpool, Manchester Academy 2 and Norwich Waterfront in November and ULU in London during December. Heaven 17 tickets are on sale with Gigantic right! Get yours before they are gone.

Heaven 17 burst onto the scene with their 1981 debut album Penthouse And Pavement which remains a modern classic. It featured their hit single (We Don’t Need That) Fascist Groove Thang.

It felt like a race to get the thing done really. There was no mediation involved. It literally was a lot of ideas coming out simultaneously but also with an intensity which meant that you could realise them very quickly. So it wasn’t just like a million ideas and actually three quarters of them were shit when you looked at them on the day - they were all pretty good I have to say. It was like opening a giant tap for a hose and it was just blasting out.“ - Martyn Ware

It was followed by two years later by The Luxury Gap. Heaven 17 continue to write and record wth subsequent records including How Men Are, Pleasure One, Teddy Bear Duke & Psycho, Bigger Than America, Before After and Naked As Advertised.

We only have limited supplied of Heaven 17 concert tickets so you will need to act fast and book yours before they are gone or risk the chance of missing out! With a huge range of essential gig tickets on offer in combination with incredible customer service, you know the first step to an unforgettable experience is to come to Gigantic.
