Hawklords is a British rock band formed in 1978 as a spin-off from the legendary space rock band Hawkwind. Initially created by former Hawkwind members Robert Calvert, Dave Brock, Harvey Bainbridge, and Martin Griffin, Hawklords continued the space rock legacy with their own distinct style and lineup changes over the years.
The band's early albums, such as 25 Years On (1978) and Dreams (1988), reflected their space rock roots with themes of science fiction, dystopia, and cosmic exploration. They have continued to release albums intermittently, exploring various musical directions while maintaining ties to their space rock origins.
Hawklords have maintained a dedicated fan base and are celebrated for their live performances that blend psychedelic visuals with energetic rock music, carrying forward the spirit of Hawkwind's pioneering space rock genre.
