Goya Gumbani is a Brooklyn-born, South London-based rapper and producer whose music blends jazz, hip-hop, and soulful narratives. Since his debut in 2018 with the self-produced EP Morta & More Doves, a tribute to his late sister, he has released several critically acclaimed projects. His discography includes The Lesser-Known (2020), KRYSTIN (2021), Face in the Storm (2022), When the Past Bloomed (2023), and Warlord of the Weejuns (2025), released on Ghostly International.
Gumbani's music has been featured in various films and television series, such as 90210, Hung, Barking Water, The Dark Divide, Resident Alien, Reservation Dogs, Echo, and Unreserved: The Work of Louie Gong. Beyond his musical career, he has contributed to cultural projects, including composing music for the T.C. Cannon exhibit at the Peabody Essex Museum and scoring films like Fancy Dance (2022) and the documentaries Winding Path (2024) and Drowned Land (2024).
