The whole world is talking about Georgie. Initially starting as a solo folk player, her sound has grown with her abilities as she has matured as an artist to become one of Britain’s brightest music hopes for the future having signed to major label Columbia Records.
Picking up the guitar when only fourteen, the precocious player started hitting the open mic circuit of Mansfield only a year later and by the age of sixteen was adept at writing her own material and was soon debuting her own material at popular Nottingham hot spot; Jam Café.
Making the move from solo artist to band accompaniment, she has been able to explore a wider range of sounds that expands the potential of each song whilst also being able to really push her wonderful vocal abilities.
“I took a deeper look into my sound and picked up that it wasn't just a folk thing anymore and there was a lot more to it. These guys came on board and from the first rehearsal we were all really happy, it's a bigger slicker sound. We're coming to the point where we have enough songs for an album, I just want to make sure everything is right. I've said this before but I don't really want to self-release anything so I need to have the right backing. Not that I want to give anything away at this point.
She has risen to the fore of Nottingham’s burgeoning music scene to become amongst the most respected artists in a town known for its talent. Now she is well known and praised by influential music critics on both sides of the Atlantic Ocean and enjoys the benefit of prominent airplay in both the UK and the US having played British and American live recorded radio sessions.
