Gabriel O Pensador (AKA Gabriel Contino) is a socially conscious Brazilian rapper and political activist. His music tackles issues of race, politics, and the Catholic Church. He topped the Brazilian Hot 100 charts with his debut single "Tô Feliz (Matei o Presidente)", plus "Estudo Errado", "2345meia78" and "Até Quando?" which all hit No. 1 on the Brazilian Hit Parade Chart too. His self-titled debut album has gone 3x platinum following its release in 1993. Further album titles include Ainda É só o Começo (1995), Quebra-Cabeça (1997), Nádegas a Declarar (1999), Seja Você Mesmo (mas não Seja sempre o Mesmo) (2001), Cavaleiro Andante (2005) and Sem Crise (2012).
