I've saw this Band 3 times this year and with each gig they are getting better!! Sam Herring pours his heart and soul into his lyrics on stage with his energetic performances! This is a band that oooze class and distinction and should not be missed.

Future Islands, Corn Exchange, Cambridge - 1st July 2017

The show was great. Small issue was the change of venue which we were not aware of. But this was quickly sorted and overall the experience was awesome!

Sensational synthpop band Future Islands continue to excite and delight as they reach ever larger audiences.

Signed to the ultra-cool indie label 4AD, their latest record is entitled Singles and was released in 2014.

Singles is a record that is experimental, yet hugely accessible.” - MusicOMH

The Baltimore-based band’s fourth album is layered with songs that are faultlessly executed from top to bottom.” - Delusions Of Adequacy

Singles is sometimes stark, and sometimes surprising - but its key constant is that it’s rarely short of spellbinding.” - Pretty Much Amazing

See them play at St Phillip’s Gate in Bristol on Friday 20th of July 2018.

Artist Bio

Future Islands are a band whose brilliance was always hiding in plain sight. One viral moment might have catapulted them to worldwide recognition, but they were just doing what they always did - pouring their heart and soul into every moment, and channelling art’s great power to spread love and hope. It was, quite simply, who they are. Long, hard years on the road, and the sense of constantly traveling away from something, have shaped the band many ways, both spiritually and physically. Always leaving, never arriving, the horizon an impossible destination to be chased but never caught. Future Islands' new album As Long As You Are is out now on 4AD.
