Philadelphia-based indie-rock quartet whose thoughtful songwriting and evolving sound have made them quietly powerful under-the-radar favourites.

Friendship are an American indie-rock band based in Philadelphia, formed around singer-songwriter Dan Wriggins with Michael Cormier-O’Leary, Peter Gill and Jon Samuels. Their roots trace back to Yarmouth, Maine, with the band name itself inspired by the town of Friendship, Maine.
They released their debut album You’re Going to Have to Trust Me (2015) and followed with Shock Out of Season (2017) and Dreamin’ (2019). Their album Love the Stranger (2022) marked their move to the label Merge Records, and in 2025 they released Caveman Wakes Up which explores a shift from Americana towards sparser, more electronically-tinged textures. Live, the band have performed in the UK, for example at venues in London and Glasgow in August 2023. Their music blends heartfelt lyricism, conversational vocals and guitar-driven arrangements, making them a deeper cut in modern indie rock but richly rewarding.
Ticket prices may vary depending on venue and location. Full pricing details are available on each individual event page.
