Beans on Toast’s artist-led Nottingham gathering, celebrating independent music, community spirit and grassroots culture.
DHP Presents:
Foolhardy Folk Festival 2026
Nottingham Arboretum Bandstand, Nottingham
Doors at 11:30 | Ends: 21:00
Foolhardy Folk Festival is the independent, artist-led celebration of music, community and trees curated by Beans on Toast and held in the beautiful surroundings of Nottingham Arboretum. Built with care and a fiercely DIY spirit, the festival has grown into one of the Midlands’ most beloved grassroots gatherings, known for its warmth, quality line-ups and thoughtfully curated atmosphere.
Personally programmed by Beans on Toast – who traditionally opens and closes the day with special live sets – Foolhardy brings together a mix of acclaimed songwriters, folk favourites and boundary-pushing independent artists. Past line-ups have featured the likes of Badly Drawn Boy, Frank Turner, Grace Petrie and Jeffrey Lewis, reflecting the festival’s focus on thoughtful, independent music with heart.
Beyond the stage, Foolhardy champions local culture, with top-notch street food, Nottingham-brewed beers and a relaxed, family-friendly environment that feels more like a gathering of friends than a typical festival. Intimate, welcoming and proudly independent, Foolhardy Folk Festival is a true community celebration rooted in creativity and connection.
