Scottish indie-rock band of brothers known for their hard-hitting sound and introspective lyrics.
Dubinski are a Scottish indie-rock band formed by four brothers—Eugene, Fergus, Donal, and Eoin Gaine. Originally from rural North Yorkshire, they were raised in the Scottish Highlands, where they spent their childhood in atmospheric and social isolation. Their shared love of music became the common thread among them, leading to years of writing and performing songs for the sheer joy of it. Eventually, they moved to Edinburgh to pursue music professionally, adopting the name Dubinski in honour of their late mother's maiden name. Their debut album, Dubinski, was released on November 11, 2022, via Gnu Roam/Kartel Music Group. The album features 14 tracks, including singles like "Beyond Me" and "Fall Right In The Grave," showcasing their distinctive blend of hard indie rock with introspective lyrics.
In 2025, Dubinski released their second album, What Is Your Definition of Happiness?, which expands their sonic palette with the help of Grammy Award-winning producers Mike Horner and Robbie Nelson. The album includes tracks like "Feel It" and "Downtown Operation," reflecting their versatility and keen eye for political trends past and present. The band is known for their energetic performances and thought-provoking music, drawing influences from acts like Maxïmo Park and XTC.
