Who is DORA?
18 year old Madrid-based newcomer DORA today releases her new single "Te Vas", produced by Pional (The xx, John Talabot, Empress Of). The new single follows recent support dates with Noga Erez, appearances at The Great Escape Festival and her debut EP 'Sin Prisa No Quiero Morir' released in April earlier this year.
Traversing genres including bolero, UK garage, indie-electronic and electro pop; eloquently moving between English and Spanish language in her thrilling creations, DORA's non-conformist and rebellious spirit shines bright through her art.
New single "Te Vas" references new beginnings, with DORA commenting: "Te Vas is pure pre-summer hedonism. I just finished high school, passed all my exams and in 15 days I'm leaving with my two best friends to explore Europe. This is all real. They are the ones who appear in this wonderful video directed by artist Rafa Castells. This song is my way of celebrating, one cycle closes and another begins, fireworks! But always with one foot in the shade, as I like. Produced by my homie Pional."
DORA made an immediate impact with a flurry of versatile singles throughout 2021 and her rise has been meteoric since then. Hand-picked to represent Spain in Spotify's global emerging-artist program RADAR, DORA has since graced the cover of Vogue España as well as being chosen by Apple Music to participate in their Up Next program following acts such as Rosalía, Billie Eilish and Bad Bunny.
