Dennis Ellsworth is a Canadian singer-songwriter and producer from Charlottetown, Prince Edward Island. His musical journey began in high school, where he filled notebooks with lyrics and poems. Influenced by artists like The Beatles, Simon & Garfunkel, Ray Charles, Kris Kristofferson, Roy Orbison, Willie Nelson, and Merle Haggard, Ellsworth's musical tastes evolved over time, leading him to explore a diverse range of genres.
Since 2009, Ellsworth has released ten albums, showcasing his ability to blend folk, rock, power pop, psych, and alt-country elements into a cohesive sound. His 2018 album, Things Change, produced by Joel Plaskett, received critical acclaim for its thoughtful lyrics and engaging melodies. in 2024, he released the album titled Modern Hope, further solidifying his reputation as a versatile and introspective artist.
