Swedish gothic metal band Deathstars tap into horror with pessimism of human nature being a common thread throughout their lyrics.
Formed in 2000, their Strömstad quintet includes Emil "Nightmare Industries" Nödtveidt (lead guitar), Andreas "Whiplasher Bernadotte" Bergh (lead vocals), Jonas "Skinny Disco" Kangur (bass), Eric "Cat Casino" Bäckman (rhythm guitar) and Marcus "Nitro" Johansson (drums).
They have release five records, including Synthetic Generation (2002), Termination Bliss (2006), Night Electric Night (2009), The Perfect Cult (2014) and Everything Destroys You (2023).
