Based in London, U.K. and made up of vocalist/guitarist Alex Mountford, guitarists Sam and Louis Matlock, and bass guitarist Sam Chappell, Dead! are a hard rock outfit that flirt with elements of pop-punk and grunge. The four friends met in Southampton in 2013 and moved in together, forming the band shortly afterward. With only a few original songs, they started performing on the local gig circuit as well as in venues around London and the South East. Their first song, "The Damned Restless Future," earned them a committed fan base, and after a number of independently released singles, the group signed with Infectious Music/BMG in the U.K. and Rise Records in the U.S. in 2016. Their debut full-length effort, The Golden Age of Not Even Trying was released in February 2018.
