Brazilian band CSS bind indie-rock with dance-punk and were major players in the nu-rave revolution of the mid-00s. Their name is an initialism for Cansei de Ser Sexy meaning “tired of being sexy in Portuguese.
CSS released four albums, starting with a 2005 eponymous debut plus further titles Donkey (2008) La Liberación (2011) Planta (2013) before splitting up. The group have now reformed and include Lovefoxxx (vocals), Luiza Sá (guitar, keys, drums), Ana Rezende (guitar, harmonica) and Carolina Parra (guitar, drums).
