Cosmic Psychos are an influential Australian punk band with a career spanning over 40 years.
Known for their simple, 'yob rock' sound with droning bass and fuzzed-out guitars, Cosmic Psychos have gained a loyal fanbase with their lyrics about Australian culture, and a love for beer. Their signature sound has remained largely untouched since their formation in 1982 and their debut album, Down on the Farm.
The band have been cited as influences for the Seattle grunge scene in the 90s, with notable mentions being a direct influence on huge bands such as Nirvana and Pearl Jam. They have also toured internationally with the likes of Mudhoney and Motorhead.
