Australian six-piece Coldwave is a high-octane fusion of jagged guitars, thunderous horns, and searing vocals that turn the mundane into the extraordinary. Their sound, often described as “post-punk pulse accelerant,” captures both chaos and precision, delivering a visceral listening experience. Named Triple J Unearthed’s feature artist in 2023, the band performed at Adelaide’s Laneway Festival alongside acts like Fontaines D.C. and Turnstile, solidifying their reputation as a standout in the modern post-punk scene.
With critically praised EPs Same Window, Different House and No Conflict, Coldwave’s music has been hailed as “like being plunged into an ice bath and set on fire” (Abby Butler, Triple J). Tracks such as the title song from Same Window, Different House highlight their ability to balance raw intensity with refined artistry.
