Leeds indie band Clay are a four piece which consists of Rob Gration, Danny Armitage, Joe Harvey and Jack Harvey. They merge modern electronic sounds and dance enthused bass lines with rock and roll guitars to create something dynamic and fresh.
They have been touring around the country amassing new fans wherever they go and were invited to play award winning Sheffield festival Tramlines where they were able to impress the huge crowds that attended in their home county of Yorkshire.
“That’s the beauty of our band really, we don’t seem to fit into a music genre. And that’s why we have a vast audience. There’s the big chorus, the big pop stuff but our most recent single ‘Honest’ - its quite a lot different in terms of being poppy. Its difficult to put a name on our music. So we wouldn’t be able to pick a genre. If we had to pick one, we’d say Indie with RnB and Hip Hop influences, lots of guitar band comparisons. We just make music that we love making to be honest, and making music we can’t find anywhere by anyone else.”
