Cannibal Ox are a legendary hip-hop duo from Harlem, New York, made up of MCs Vast Aire and Vordul Mega. Known for their dense lyricism, gritty realism and futuristic production, they made an indelible mark on underground rap with their debut album The Cold Vein (2001), produced by El-P. Widely regarded as a classic, the album helped shape the sound of alternative hip-hop in the early 2000s and continues to influence artists to this day.
After a long hiatus, the pair returned with Blade of the Ronin (2015), a bold follow-up that reasserted their status as innovators of the genre. On stage, Cannibal Ox deliver intense, cerebral live shows, with razor-sharp flows and thought-provoking verses.
