Camel, Royal Albert Hall, London - 17th September 2018

I first saw Camel perform Moonmadness in Cardiff back in 1976. It was the first concert I took my now wife to together with my dearest friend, so to rekindle fond memories could not be missed. The concert was remarkable, the setting great and I was 20 years old again. Andy Latimer's playing was sublime backed by Denis Clement's druming and Colin Bass's driving backing. For me however, was the perfomance by the 'new guy' - Pete Jones was a real treat. A superb musician. The energy and passion was still there and this was probably the best concert I've attended. Can't wait for the DVD to be released. Well done lads and a huge thank you - you made an old man very happy!

Camel were absolutely awesome! The musicianship and vocals of the keys and sax player blew me away. The drummer was one the best and tightest I’ve seen and a real credit to prog music. Colin was great on bass and vocals and Andy is a true legend. I feel honoured to have seen Camel, the best prog band of all time in the Royal Albert Hall. I still have goose bumps!!!!

Had pleasure of seeing Camel twice on this tour - Aylesbury and the RAH. Fabulous musicianship and material. Andy Latimer must have the best guitar tone of anyone. Been a fan since 1974 and still loving every second.

Camel, Royal Albert Hall, London - 17th September 2018

Excellent show at a great venue, final night of the Moonmadness tour. Looked like it was being filmed, so hopefully we will see this soon on Same setlist as earlier gigs: all of Moonmadness (except Aristillus which was pre-recorded) for the first set, then a varied second set. The band were all clearly well into it, especially Andy as usual. Let's hope there are more Camel tours in the near future!

All the energy and emotion of when I first saw them so many years ago - they just seem to get better with time

Seminal Canterbury rock band formed in 1971 Camel are still producing the goods 40 years on - albeit with only guitarist/vocalist Andy Latimer remaining from the original line-up. Latimer (guitar, vocals) the unwavering vanguard of the group, is joined by long time band member, Colin Bass (bass vocals), with Denis Clement (drums) with keyboardist Peter Jones completing the line-up.

Do not miss your chance to see them make very special headline appearance at The Bridgewater Hall in Manchester on Friday 7th and Royal Albert Hall in London which takes place on Monday 17th of September 2018.

It was indeed a joyous night for all concerned and a personal triumph for the guy who has held things together since 1972. In fact tonight was a fair summation of the best of classic British prog and the present incarnation of the band shows just how the genre should be done.” - Get Ready To Rock
