About Will Young

Will Young first captured the nation's heart by winning the inaugural series of Pop Idol in 2002, leading to the release of his double A-sided debut single, "Anything Is Possible" / "Evergreen," which became the fastest-selling debut single in UK chart history. His debut album, From Now On (2002), reached number one on the UK Albums Chart, featuring hits like "Light My Fire." Subsequent albums, including Friday's Child (2003), Keep On (2005), and Echoes (2011), solidified his status in the music industry.

Throughout his career, Young has graced numerous UK stages, performing at esteemed venues and festivals such as the Glastonbury Festival in 2023. In August 2024, he released his ninth studio album, Light It Up, collaborating with the Scandinavian pop production duo pHD. The album features singles like "Falling Deep" and "Midnight." Demonstrating his versatility, Young has also ventured into acting, starring in the play Song From Far Away at HOME in Manchester in 2023. His enduring passion and down-to-earth nature continue to endear him to fans across the UK and beyond.
