The music of C Duncan is intricate, haunting and spectral. Combing his love of classical music and a his superb talent of writing clever and catchy tunes, the dreampop sensation is fast becoming a big name.

The Glasgow based talent Christopher Duncan was born to two classical musicians in 1989. Growing up in an environment rich in musical talent, Duncan was introduced to a variety of instruments at an early age initially learning to play the piano and viola and progressing on to guitar, drums and bass in his teens. Possessing a keen interest in classical music and the means to play contemporary instruments, he enrolled in the Royal Scottish Academy Of Music And Drama to study composition where pieces of his own work would be performed by ensembles all over the country.

His debut album Architect, which also contains the singles For, Say, Garden, Here To There, was released through FatCat Records in July of 2015. Its striking blend of upbeat pop and offbeat sounds struck a chord with audiences and critics alike and saw C Duncan nominated for the Mercury Music Prize.

He seamlessly merges interweaving vocals with the sounds of pastoral English folk and lush, 4ADesque dreampop. On He Believes in Miracles and the title track, both of which have a psychedelic shimmer, you realise that Duncan is just as comfortable when creating music to suit sunnier climes, making this a magical record for all seasons. ” - Tim Jonze, The Guardian

Not only a superb songwriter and composer, he is also an accomplished painter and has seen his work on display across Scotland. He also uses his talent for painting to create the artwork for his record covers.
