Byrne’s Night is a vibrant celebration of the musical genius of David Byrne and the poetic brilliance of Robert Burns, uniquely blending Scottish heritage with the avant-garde spirit of Talking Heads. Founded by Maddy O’Keefe and Dundee native Lola Stephen, the event brings together an eclectic mix of artists to perform Talking Heads covers and recite poetry under atmospheric lighting at venues such as London’s Moth Club. Since its inception in 2024, Byrne’s Night has earned a reputation for energetic performances and a creative fusion of music and poetry, quickly becoming a must-see for fans of both icons.
The event made its festival debut in August 2024 at the Green Man Festival in Wales, delivering a set that included iconic Talking Heads tracks and leaving audiences buzzing. With appearances from members of Fontaines D.C., Squid, Los Bitchos and PVA, Byrne’s Night continues to grow in popularity, with future editions anticipated at UK festivals and intimate venues alike. Each performance celebrates the spirit of collaboration and musical exploration, ensuring that every night is a memorable, boundary-pushing experience.
