About Buddy Guy

Premier guitar player Buddy Guy has earned an impeccable reputation. Ranked 30th by Rolling Stone magazine in their list of 100 Greatest Guitarists OF All Time and described by Eric Clapton as the best living guitarist, Guy is a blues living legend.

Guy once explained that Muddy Waters’ final request to him was “keep the damn blues alive”. He’s still doing just that.

He has just announced an exciting upcoming headline gig. See him play the Eventim Apollo on Thursday 13th of July, 2017.

Buddy Guy tickets are just about to become available through Gigantic so set a personal reminder to arrive to you via text message or email to make you ready for their release at 10:00 on Friday 27th of January.

Originally from Louisiana, he moved north to be influenced by Howlin’ Wolf and Muddy Waters, and developed a passionate, driving guitar style that made him a hero for blues-rockers from Eric Clapton to Jimmy Page.

He is the recent recipient of the 2015 Grammy Lifetime Achievement Award, his incredible career spans over 50 years with just as many albums released. Career highlights include 7 Grammy Awards, 35 Blues Music Awards, Kennedy Center Honors, NARM Chairman’s Award for Sustained Creative Achievement, Billboard Music Awards’ Century Award for distinguished artistic development, Presidential National Medal of Arts, and induction into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame to name a few.
