Brothers Moving is a Danish band that began as street performers in New York City in 2008. Formed by brothers Esben (lead vocals, guitar, kazoo), Aske (lead vocals, lead guitar), and Simon Knoblauch (cajón), along with Nils Sørensen (bass), the group is known for their energetic performances and genre-blending sound. Their music combines elements of blues, folk, funk, reggae, and early rock and roll, often performed acoustically without microphones.
Brothers Moving gained international attention with their viral street performance of "Minnie the Moocher" in Union Square, New York. Since then, they have toured extensively, performing in cities across Europe, including Moscow and Saint Petersburg, and at festivals such as Fusion Festival in Germany and Stereoleto Festival in Russia . Their discography includes the self-titled debut album Brothers Moving (2012), Autonomy (2018), and a trilogy of EPs: Choppin' (2022), Pickin' (2022), and Strummin' (2024) . The band continues to captivate audiences with their raw, unplugged performances and distinctive sound.
