Formed by former members of The Fall, Brix and the Extricated is made up of Brix Smith-Start (born Laura Elisse Salenger), Steve Hanley, Paul Hanley, Steve Trafford and Jason Brown. Having first started out using material of The Fall which they had written and therefore had ownership of, they are now committed to producing new material and are deep underway into writing a new album.
They describe their new album Part 2 as “a cross between PiL’s Metal Box and Blondie” which was released last year.
Showcasing their new music, they hit the road to play The George in London and Bristol Thekla during October 2018.
