Brigitte Calls Me Baby are an alternative rock band from Chicago whose sound captures the cinematic grandeur of vintage pop with the urgency of modern indie. Fronted by vocalist Wes Leavins alongside Jack Fluegel, David Rosendahl, Devin Wessels and Jeremy Benshish, the group weave elements of new wave, post-punk and classic rock into something fresh and heartfelt. Their name was inspired by Leavins’ teenage correspondence with French icon Brigitte Bardot — a story as romantic and distinctive as their music itself.
Their debut EP This House Is Made of Corners (2024) introduced a bold, nostalgic sound full of melody and longing, produced by nine-time Grammy-winner Dave Cobb. The band followed with their first full-length album The Future Is Our Way Out (2024), earning comparisons to The Smiths and Roy Orbison for their mix of drama and sincerity. Having supported acts such as Muse and The Strokes, and made their mark at SXSW, Brigitte Calls Me Baby continue to turn heads with a sound that bridges eras and emotions.
