Bleachers, Bush Hall, London - 5th July 2017

Gorgeous venue, great vibe, awesome sound and of course the talented Bleachers. Felt so honored to attend their one and only UK date this year!

This was a fantastic gig - Bleachers are incredibly high-energy, there was so much dancing and jumping and it was just a great time. They didn't come on until 9:30pm (doors were at 7:30pm which I felt was early for such a small venue) but there was no opener, so I assume there were issues there and they decided to scrap the opener and just come on themselves. They played a few of their quiet slower songs which was nice, but I'm glad that they mostly stuck to their big joyful tunes.

Bleachers is the indie pop band started by New York producer and songwriter Jack Antonoff.

This year has seen the release of their incredible third album Gone Now. They now promote their new material with highly anticipated upcoming headline shows. Catch them when they takeover KOKO in London on Wednesday 18th of October 2017.

Do not hang around because Bleachers tickets will sell quickly so you need to act fast and book yours before they go. Their debut album Strange Desires was released in the summer of 2014 and saw them hit an impressive NO. 11 in the US.
It was followed the next year by Terrible Thrills Vol. 2 which was meant to be more of a companion piece to the first record rather than a stand-alone piece.

The true second album has just been released and is called Gone Now. The record has certainly impressed the music critics.

These are grand-scaled electro-rock anthems that recall the fist-pumping likes of Arcade Fire and Bruce Springsteen even as they confess to an introvert’s anxieties.” - Los Angeles Times

Though it's hard to believe it's possible, Antonoff shares even more of himself on Gone Now than on Bleachers' debut, and it makes for some of his most immersive and satisfying music yet.” - Los Angeles Times
