Big City is an annual music festival in Glasgow, Scotland, curated and headlined by the legendary Scottish band Mogwai. Launched in 2024, the festival takes place at Queen's Park Recreation Ground, offering a carefully curated lineup that spans post-rock, indie, electronic, and experimental music.
The inaugural edition on June 29, 2024, saw performances from Mogwai, Slowdive, Nadine Shah, Beak>, Michael Rother, Kathryn Joseph, bdrmm, Cloth, Elisabeth Elektra, Free Love, Goat Girl, and Sacred Paws. Alongside the music, Big City featured a literary tent in collaboration with White Rabbit Books, with discussions and readings from authors including David Keenan, Audrey Golden, Simon Price, and Ali Millar.
Following its successful debut, Big City returns once again at Queen’s Park. With its unique blend of world-class music and literary culture, Big City has quickly established itself as a must-attend event in Scotland’s festival calendar.
