Bernhoft (Jarle Bernhoft) is a Norwegian singer, multi-instrumentalist, and songwriter known for his soulful voice and inventive approach to live performance. Starting his career in bands like Explicit Lyrics and Span, he launched a solo career in 2008, quickly gaining recognition for blending R&B, pop, and soul with live looping techniques that create rich, layered soundscapes.
His solo albums include Ceramik City Chronicles (2008), Solidarity Breaks (2011), Islander (2014), Stop/Shutup/Shout It Out (2016), Humanoid (2018), Dancing on My Knees (2021), and Avenue of Loveless Hearts (2023). Bernhoft has also released acclaimed live recordings, such as 1:Man 2:Band (2010). Known for his dynamic and engaging performances, he has appeared on The Ellen DeGeneres Show and Conan, and served as a coach on The Voice Norway, earning a devoted international following.
