Benny Sings is the stage name of Dutch singer-songwriter and producer Tim van Berkestijn, who has spent over two decades crafting a sound that blends pop, soul, jazz and hip-hop with effortless charm. He made his debut with Champagne People (2003) and has since released a steady stream of acclaimed records, including City Pop (2019), Music (2021) and Young Hearts (2023), the latter co-produced with Kenny Beats and featuring artists like Remi Wolf.
A prolific collaborator, Benny Sings has worked with the likes of Mac DeMarco, Tom Misch, GoldLink, Mayer Hawthorne and Rex Orange County—co-writing the hit “Loving Is Easy”. His music has been featured in TV series including Girls, Easy and Carol & Tuesday, bringing his breezy, emotional style to an even wider audience.
On stage, Benny Sings is known for warm, groove-filled performances that create an instant connection. He’s played headline shows across the UK and Europe, including a return to London in November 2025 for a special night at EartH in Hackney. Friendly, soulful and always down-to-earth, Benny continues to be a quietly powerful force in modern pop.
