Belle & Sebastian, The Troxy, London - 16th March 2018

As a 6 foot 3 man... I had difficulty fitting my legs in to the seating at the Troxy and made for a very uncomfortable few hours..
Also, your spot lights often blinded me and I noted other people holding a hand over their eyes, this was a bit annoying.
A really poor depressing back-up artist, but Belle and Sebastian were very good

Belle & Sebastian, Rock City, Nottingham - 10th March 2018

B&S on form..loved the video backdrop. Good set with a couple of exceptions for me. Interactive as always. Encore lifted the roof.
Not a great fan of Rock City as a venue...viewing position always an issue but a really fun night.

Glaswegian group Belle & Sebastian tap into the fey sound of C86 whilst often delving into delightfully deceptive dark imagery, despite their upbeat pop sound. The indie icons first made their name through the cult label Jeepster Records before joining the Rough Trade Records roster.

The band members include drummer Richard Colburn, Stevie Jackson and Bobby Kildea playing guitar, keys by Sarah Martin and Chris Geddes with Dave McGowan playing bass.

They make their headline performance at the Nottingham Rock City, Brighton Dome and The Troxy in London during March of 2018.

Belle & Sebastian tickets are just about to become released. Expected to sell quickly, you can set a personal reminder with Gigantic to alert you via text message or email as to when they are released at 09:00 on Friday 29th of September.

Taking their name from the French novel Belle et Sébastien, Belle & Sebastian recorded debut album Tigermilk in just three days with original only 1,000 copies pressed onto vinyl. It saw them sign to Jeepster Records which would become their home for their formative years.

They would grow from indie darlings to greater commercial success, assisted by being selected for use in films like High Fidelity and (500) Days Of Summer and also becoming the end credit music for the Channel 4 comedy television show teachers. Their name and gig attendance grew across the albums If You’re Feeling Sinister, The Boy With The Arab Strap, Fold Your Hands Child, You Walk Like A Peasant and Storytelling.

The band left Jeepster in 2002 and moved over to Rough Trade Records. They subsequently released the records Dear Catastrophe Wife, The Life Pursuit, Belle And Sebastian Write About Love and Girls In Peacetime Want To Dance.
