Barns Courtney, The Soup Kitchen, Manchester - 22nd September 2017

This man and his band are really stadium-worthy. He deserves all the fame that comes towards him. He packed out the Soup Kitchen in Manchester last night delivering a stellar performance but also giving a very intimate feeling. 10/10 Would see again.

Barns Courtney, The Cookie, Leicester - 16th September 2017

I had never visited the venue before and on the whole I was impressed, if I could find fault it would be that the bar inside the stage area was closed meaning you had to leave the performance and go upstairs for a drink, I found this irritating. Barns Courtney put on an excelent show and had the audience fully engaged. I only wish it could have lasted longer. I have been following his progress for a while now and expect big things from him in the future.

Barns Courtney, The Camden Assembly, London - 23rd August 2017

One of the best gigs I've been to this year.

New kid Barns Courtney is starting to attract quite a fanbase with his own unique brand of blues rock. Newly signed to Virgin Records he’s already seen great success with his singles Glitter & Gold and Fire plus debut album The Attractions Of Youth.

I recorded ‘Glitter & Gold’ in a decommissioned old folks home in Tottenham. I wanted it to sound gritty and we didn’t have drums, so we made all the percussion hitting disused filing cabinets, old film cans and stacking scissor snips.

Full name, Barnaby Courtney. He was born to Ipswich but then spent much of his childhood in Seattle. Before striking out as a solo artist, Courtney has been a member of indie outfit SleeperCell.

Following the release of The Dull Drums EP in 2016, his debut album The Attractions Of Youth was released a year later.

He now plays a handful of dates including The Maze at Nottingham, Night And Day in Manchester and Bristol Exchange during November 2018.

Given their massive appeal Barns Courtney tickets are expected to sell out very quickly. Book yours before they are all gone.

Courtney uploaded his music to BBC Music Introducing and ten days later was playing the BBC Introducing live show in his hometown Suffolk.

He was noticed by Carl Barat and was chosen to support The Libertines on tour. Following this he also played support for Ed Sheeran on his tour of the USA.

Last year saw the release of his excellent EP Hands which thrilled fans and the music press alike.

With only limited Barns Courtney concert tickets available you will need to act fast and book yours before they are gone.
