Band of Horses are an American indie rock band known for their expansive sound, blending elements of folk rock, Americana and atmospheric indie. Formed in Seattle in 2004 by frontman Ben Bridwell, the band gained early attention with their debut album Everything All the Time (2006), which featured standout tracks including “The Funeral”. Their follow-up Cease to Begin (2007) further established their reputation, while Infinite Arms (2010) earned a Grammy nomination and marked a high point in their commercial success.
Renowned for their sweeping live performances, Band of Horses have toured extensively across the UK and internationally, appearing at major festivals including Glastonbury. They have also supported artists such as Pearl Jam, building a loyal global fanbase along the way. With later releases including Mirage Rock (2012), Why Are You OK (2016) and Things Are Great (2022), the band continue to evolve while maintaining their signature emotive, reverb-soaked sound.
