Reimagining jazz and accordion for the 21st century — fluid, fearless and full of unexpected beauty.
If you'd like to be the first to know when new events are announced, you can follow Anatole Muster below.
Anatole Muster is a Swiss-born, London-based accordionist, producer and composer whose innovative approach has rapidly made him one of the most exciting voices in modern jazz and nu-jazz today. Barely in his early twenties, he brings the accordion — an instrument often associated with tradition — into bold, contemporary territory, fusing jazz, electronic, hyperpop and experimental soundscapes into a style that's distinctly his own. Muster studied jazz in London (at the Royal Academy of Music) and early on earned acclaim: his music was featured on BBC Radio 2 by Jamie Cullum.
His debut album as a leader, Wonderful Now (2024), showcased his versatility and broad sonic vision, blending ambient textures, electronic beats, jazz improvisation and melodic inventiveness — and gathering strong online traction. His follow-up, hopecore (2025), expands his palette further with collaborations featuring contemporary jazz and fusion heavyweights like Hadrien Féraud, Tennyson and Button Masher, marrying experimental groove with emotional depth. On stage with his trio or full band, Muster combines accordion, breath-controlled MIDI-controller, electronics and live improvisation — delivering performances that are joyous, inventive and deeply expressive.
