The newly released album ‘5am’ is Amber Run’s debut studio album, and it certainly captures the vibrancy and energy of this young band from Nottingham. Now the band is taking its distinctive indie sound out on the road with a series of Amber Run tour dates across the UK. At Gigantic, we have managed to get hold of a selection of Amber Run concert tickets that we anticipate will be in high demand.

The band play Cambridge Junction on Tuesday 3rd of October, 2017. Amber Run tickets will soon become available through Gigantic.

They also join the line-up of Dot To Dot when it hits Manchester, Bristol and Nottingham.

Like many indie bands, the idea for Amber Run germinated in the halls and rooms of Nottingham University, where band members Joe Keogh, Tom Sperring, Will Jones and Felix Archer started with a tentative idea of a simple gigging band. However, things took off and after abandoning their studies to focus on the band’s development, they got their first big break at the BBC Introducing stage at Reading Festival in 2013. This was only their fourth gig ever, and must have been a nerve-wracking experience for such newbies to the business. However, Amber Run held their own and impressed not only the audience, but a gaggle of A&R men too, and after a scrabble of meetings they eventually signed to RCA.

The band has followed the tried and tested route of EPs, releasing a succession throughout 2013 and 2014. All of these have been well received, and the band’s new album is already finding favour amongst festival goers and DJs alike.

Amber Run have proved that guitar-based bands have not yet had their day, and are doing a good job at reviving interest in a sound that is forever associated with Brit Pop. This next-gen band are proof that a concept can develop and adapt to a changing audience, and their natural skill and stage presence despite their lack of experience is a clear indicator that we can expect great things from this band in the years to come. Make sure you’re in at the start by grabbing Amber Run tickets today from Gigantic.
